To support the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) drive to promote and develop the tourism industry in the Philippines, Uratex for Business partnered with DOT and Department of Tourism’s pool of Third Party Auditors, as they organized a Mattress Specifications Seminar and Quality Design Training.

The one-day training was conducted at the Uratex Valenzuela plant last May 29, 2019 and was participated by the Department of Tourism’s pool of Third Party Auditors (TPAs). They were oriented and introduced to the Uratex quality, its innovative foam products, and the advanced technology and machinery involved in the process.

Among the topics discussed were the technicalities of the foams and the different foam combinations that work great for mattresses and different type of sleeper, headed by subject matter experts from Uratex.

Aside from the in-depth understanding of the mattresses and processes that the DOT and its TPAs have gained, this training can also be used by the government agency as an addition to their extensive list of guidelines for star rating as well as hotel auditing–a step towards expanding the benefits of tourism to both the private and public sectors in the tourism industry.
