Highlights from the Uratex-EHAP Housekeeping 2024 Bed Making Competition
Celebrating Excellence in Hospitality!
The energy and excitement were surreal at the Uratex-EHAP Housekeeping 2024 Bed Making Competition, held at the Ronac Living Gallery in Mandaluyong on September 4, 2024.
The event was a celebration of skill, creativity and attention to detail, where housekeeping professionals showcased their expertise in one of the most important aspects of the hospitality industry- bedmaking.
This prestigious competition brought together the finest housekeeping talents from some of the country's top hotels, resorts, and residences. Competitors were given the opportunity to demostrate not only their bed-making skills but also their ability to add a creative touch, with many entries featuring thematic designs and intricate turn-down services.
Category A: 4 to 5 Star Hotels, Resorts and Residences (Thematic with Turn Down)
In this category, participants were tasked with creating visually stunning, perfectly executed bed setups to a specific theme while incorporating the elegant and delicate turn-down service that is a hallmark of luxury hotels.
The winners were:
CHAMPION: Brodley Diocales of Nobu Hotel, City of Dreams Manila
2ND PLACE: Dave Mark Tejada of Hyatt Regency
3RD PLACE: Brendan Borja of NÜWA Hotel at City of Dreams Manila
Category B: 3-Star Hotels, Resorts, and Inns (Thematic with Turn Down)
In this category, participants from 3-star hotels, resorts, and inns showed that excellence in housekeeping can be achieved across various types of establishments.
The winners were:
CHAMPION: Eduardson Bodiongan of Microtel by Wyndham
2ND PLACE: Frank Wendell Davin of Nurture Wellness Village
3RD PLACE: Jeric Respeto of Ace Hotel & Suites
