A Better Future for Hearing-Impaired Students: Uratex partners with Lamoiyan Corporation
On May 22, 2022, a special moment took place in Cavinti, Laguna, with the opening of the GT Foundation Building at DEAF, Inc. This new facility is huge step forward in providing more space and resources for hearing-impaired students. The inauguration was attended by Architect Ponson Chang, Dr. Cecilio K. Pedro (Chairman of DEAF, Inc.), and Peachy Medina from Uratex, who, along with other board members, helped cut the ceremonial ribbon.
DEAF, Inc.Founded in 1969, DEAF, Inc. it’s a non-profit school dedicated to providing education for hearing-impaired Filipino students. Located in a peaceful area in Cavinti, Laguna, the school is home to over 200 students. They offer free education, teaching basic sign language, life skills, and communication tools to help students integrate into society and thrive in their communities.
Through a partnership with Lamoiyan Corporation and Uratex, DEAF, Inc. was able to build the GT Foundation Building, equipped with brand-new school chairs and other essential items. These contributions provide students with a better learning environment, giving them a greater chance for success.
For Uratex, this partnership is part of its ongoing effort to help local communities by supporting education and improving the lives of Filipinos. By working with organizations like DEAF, Inc., Uratex is helping provide opportunities that make a real difference in people’s lives.
