As an end-consumer we can easily tell by the feel if a certain mattress is comfortable to lie on or not, but as for the mattress makers, what's inside and what makes it stand-out is also very important, the foam layering, the fabric, the spring assembly, all the parts inside that were put together to create that one exceptional mattress that consumers will enjoy.
Uratex for Business in partnership with The Executive Housekeepers Association of the Philippines held an online assembly together entitled the “EHAP x Uratex General Membership Meeting VX” via zoom platform last May 22, 2021. This partnership is part of the Uratex’ continuous support to the hospitality industry amidst the pandemic. The webinar hosted by Uratex mostly discussed on the topic of the current organizational updates, challenges of the hospitality industry, as well as how Uratex can help with the rebound of the industry through various business solutions. This general membership meeting (GMM) collaboration was headed by Ms. Gina Anabo, the EHAP President, and co-headed by Ms. Cynthia Villegas, the Uratex for Business Marketing Manager.
During the webinar, Uratex for Business also also presented some of the business offerings that the company can offer to the hospitality industry. Some of the topics discussed include: how to properly chose mattresses according to foam type, spring type, and user preference, current mattress trends, element of a good mattress, and the Uratex Hotel Premium Collection.
Also present during webinar is our special guest speaker, Dr. Ma. Joyce Joyas, who talked about the importance of maintaining a healthy mind and perspective in order to overcome the challenges of the pandemic and the new normal. Dr. Joyas discussed how the current covid pandemic affected some individuals mentally and physically, and how this conscious and subconscious anxiety affects the sleeping pattern and the life perspective of those affected. Important topic also discussed by our guest speaker was how to maintain a positive outlook, and how to overcome fear and concerns over the uncontrollable situations. Dr. Joyas emphasized that proper sleep and other wellness activities will help to slowly reduce the mental and physical burden the pandemic may have caused.
The covid pandemic may have affected various industries in a major way, but through this virtual meeting, Uratex for Business continues to reconnect and maintain the partnership with various trade associations such as EHAP. Hosting virtual general membership meeting is also another way to show the unceasing assistance and encouragement that Uratex extends to its partners, as we all look forward to the return of a brighter hotel industry.
